forgives
nothing.

  1. Allowing self-forgiveness
    is what often tips
    the scales of time

  2. The forgiveness of others is, of course, not something you can expect, although you can hope for it. In this case, knowing the personalities involved intimately as I do, I doubt that it will ever happen.

Self-forgiveness is an ongoing process. It proceeds by fits and starts. If the transgression was serious enough, I doubt that the process can ever be final or complete.

As for time, it dulls the pain, but offers no true respite.

    So it goes.

  3. Even though God forgives us; sometimes we can't forgive ourselves. Some experiences in life are etched in our heart & brain & don't seem to go away. We have to try to forgive ourselves even though other's don't. It is better to have a conscience & be bothered by things we can't forgive ourselves for than no conscience at all.
